UK and International Impact

The SHRN team has been invited by the World Health Organization (WHO) to contribute to the planning of a European-wide pilot school health network. Professor Simon Murphy and SHRN partners from Welsh Government and Public Health Wales attended WHO meetings in Copenhagen in 2018-2019 and recruitment to the second phase of the pilot is due to start through the HBSC and SHE networks in the summer of 2019.

SHRN has been instrumental in supporting the newly launched SHINE network in Scotland, a research collaboration between the University of Glasgow and University of St Andrews. SHINE is a pilot model based on the SHRN infrastructure, designed to collect data on health and wellbeing practices in schools across Scotland.
