Our summer events this year took us to Carmarthenshire, Cardiff and Deganwy. After the success of the last two years of events, and the large number of schools recruited in 2017 we decided that a third event would need to be run in Carmarthenshire. These events are a great opportunity to get schools together in order to hear updates from the SHRN team as well as sharing good practice from other schools based on how they have used their data in their Student Health and Wellbeing Reports, as well as learning about current health research. This year we were also incredibly lucky to be joined by representatives from Estyn who presented on health and wellbeing in the new inspection framework.
We have been granted permission from our presenters to share their slides, for which we are very grateful.
On Tuesday 13 June our first event of 2017 was held at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, a picturesque venue in the Carmarthenshire countryside. We were joined by 38 schools as well as representatives from the Welsh Network of Healthy School Scheme (WNHSS) for a full day of presentations from the SHRN team, Network schools, Estyn and the WNHSS.
